Discussed plans to bring Mr. Dey's Thunder Gull here for the Chapter to help build as a group.
Alternantively, Doug is looking to purchase Duane's Wagabon project for the Chapter to build.
It was suggested that we consider a change of date and / or move from bar-b-q to go with a Shrimp boil / Frogmore stew.
Jesse has an action to look at the fly-in websites for conflicts on the second weekend of Nov. instead of the first weekend.
All agree with moving to shrimp boil and chicken bog (for those with shell fish allergy.)
We will have a hanger meeting get-together on July 12th at Green Sea (S79).
Discussed the 51% rule and what qualifies towards that builder requirement. Noted that the prior builders work is credited towards your project build.
Discussed whether a certificated airplane parts can be used in an E-AB airplane. The consensus was “no” but more research should be done.
Discussed
the possibility of converting a certificated airplane to
experimental. The consensus was that this is only possible for short
defined periods with the goal of creating an STC or new product.
Adjourned meeting.
